According to police, the Dodge veered left of center and into oncoming lanes, colliding with the front of the BMW.

Both of the vehicles made a U-turn towards the southwest and stopped on the gravel shoulder.

The BMW's driver was taken by responding medical personnel to University Medical Center Trauma Center for injuries that were potentially fatal.

In addition, after being forcibly extricated from the Dodge Challenger, the driver and passenger were sent to UMC for treatment of life-threatening wounds.
