According to a news release, Metro Police claim to have identified a suspect in the 2004 slaying of a woman in Las Vegas, which had been classified as a cold case.

The Metro Police have named 48-year-old Norman Flowers as a suspect in the death of 28-year-old Keysha Brown. He is presently being held at High Desert State Prison.

Police discovered Brown's body on October 19, 2004, close to the 700 block of Flamingo Road.

According to authorities, she had been battered, stabbed, and strangled. She had also been sexually assaulted, the autopsy indicated.

None of the investigations at the time produced a suspect. The LVMPD Murder Cold Case Section was given the unresolved case, which remained open.
