As of Monday afternoon, Harry Reid International Airport had the second-highest number of flights cancelled and delayed, with other regions of the country also experiencing the effects of winter weather on travel.

According to online flight tracker FlightAware, 165 aircraft leaving Reid, or 21% of all flights, were cancelled or delayed by 7 p.m. 184 further planes into Reid were postponed.

Denver International Airport was the only airport with a greater number of cancellations and delays.

Harry Reid spokesperson Sabrina Khater said on Monday that "we would recommend checking with specific airlines or FlightAware."

On account of the severe winter weather that affected a large portion of the rest of the country on Monday, more than 5,700 flights into and out of U.S. airports were cancelled nationwide.

Temperatures plunged well below normal from east of the Rocky Mountains to the Appalachians, and around 60% of Americans were subject to some type of winter weather advisory or warning.

Southwest Airlines was the one with the most nationwide impact. Across the nation, more than 700 Southwest flights were delayed and close to 2,900 were cancelled.

In Las Vegas, 73% of Southwest flights were cancelled and 11% were delayed as of Monday evening.

By Monday evening, 285 Southwest flights heading into or out of Harry Reid had been cancelled, according to FlightAware.
