In a news release, Metro Police said they had identified a suspect in the cold case murder of two women in Las Vegas in the 1990s.

Eddie George Snowden was named as a potential suspect in the killings, according to authorities, after genealogical testing was conducted in June 2022.

Snowden, who was born in January 1937, passed away in February 2017 from natural causes.

The DNA of Snowden's biological family was obtained, according to investigators, proving he was the one who killed and sexually molested the ladies in both cases.

On December 11, 1992, Lori Ann Perera, 31, was found dead in a desert area close to a store on the 2800 block of East Charleston Boulevard.

Her manual strangulation combined with blunt force injuries was determined to be the cause of suffocation.
